Drift Session in Hawaii

People Press
Drifter Twins People 2 Guys
Last September, I first visited Hawaii with the Drifter X (180SX) and performed a demonstration at a local event called Drift Session. Since then, I've continuously received offers for a second appearance. Simultaneously, this April, we completed the “Drifter Twins” as a two-car USA drift machine, debuting them at the LA International Auto Salon. The drivers are, of course, Drifter X, Fumiaki Komatsu, and the other is D1 driver Chunky Bai (Kazuya Bai), named Drifter XL specifically for this Twins project. At the same time, Kida received another enthusiastic offer from Hawaii and accepted.

On May 25th, we participated in the “Signal Auto Drift Challenge” hosted by Drift Session.

The day before, on May 24th, both cars were displayed in front of the sports bar ‘All Star Hawaii’ on Waikiki's main street. A press conference was held, gathering local TV stations, radio stations, magazines, and other media outlets. Being on Waikiki's main street, crowds of locals and tourists gathered in front of the Drifter Twins, captivated by the beauty of the two cars' color schemes and graphics. Against the backdrop of evergreen Hawaii and palm trees, the candy orange Twins were truly eye-catching.

The event itself was a night event running from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the 25th. This year's event was larger in scale than last year's, and with extensive promotion on local TV, radio, and radio stations for weeks beforehand. Consequently, not only car enthusiasts but also families, friends, couples, and even ordinary tourists from Japan began gathering at the circuit from early afternoon, eager to see the Twins. By the end, approximately 3,500 to 4,000 people were at the circuit... We, the crew, were stunned and got goosebumps!!

The Hawaiian drifters and the Twins performed drifting on the track. After that, the sight of just the two Twins performing was, even to us, Extreme Crazy!!!! It riveted the eyes of about 4,000 people, drawing huge cheers!! At this point, it was nothing short of an amazing show.

Even at midnight, the crowd refused to leave the circuit. Grandpas, grandmas, kids, and everyone surrounded the Twins and Signal crew, showering us with warm cheers. Receiving such passion from everyone in Hawaii, we felt a new thrill in our bones and wanted to shout our thanks to everyone. Thus, the Drifters Twins made their shocking USA debut. Moving forward, they plan to showcase both D1 in the USA and SIGNAL's unique JDM drift style across the entire nation.

SIGNAL MAD-Kida's action, which began three years ago with the conviction that drifting would surely become mainstream in America too, has now started.

We will continue to promote the SIGNAL JDM drift storm across the entire USA, so everyone, please support us!!
Thanks everybody!!
